• Old School Wrestling Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 72nd birthday of Old School Wrestling Veteran Dick Murdoch (Real name: Hoyt Murdoch).

During his long illustrious career, Dick Murdoch wrestled for several different territories such as the World Wrestling Federation, Jim Crockett Promotions, World Championship Wrestling, Florida Championship Wrestling, World Wrestling Council & Mid-South Wrestling.

His last major appearances came in 1995, when he was an entrant into the 30 man Royal Rumble match at the ‘WWF Royal Rumble 1995’ PPV, and lost a Legends match to “Chief” Wahoo McDaniels at the ‘WCW Slamboree 1995’ PPV.

• Paige Reacts To A Fan Calling Her & Renee Young Fat

During a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about SmackDown Live Star Peyton Royce’s looks.

You can read his conversation with Bryan Alvarez below:

“Meltzer: I thought they had a cool act in NXT and on the main roster I don’t get a thing out of them. I don’t think their promos are particularly good, their wrestling isn’t good. I think they even like… I think Peyton Royce’s transformation to look more attractive… I don’t know, I don’t want to say. But I don’t think that…

Alvarez: That they were more attractive in NXT?

Meltzer: I thought so, yes. To me, yes. I would say so. But that’s neither here nor there.

Alvarez: No one’s saying she’s unattractive, by the way, everybody.

Meltzer: I know, no s***. Yeah, I didn’t say it at all. But she doesn’t stand out to me… when she was in NXT she did… she was a lot lighter.”

A fan recorded this conversation and sent it to Peyton on Twitter:

Meltzer then issued an apology to Peyton:

However, it was too late as Meltzer received major backlash from WWE stars regarding his comments.

Below is how Renee Young reacted to this:

Renee’s response didn’t sit well with a fan and he posted the following on Twitter (he later deleted the tweet):

“Shut up Renee! Dave Meltzer already apologized for it. By the way, you’re fat too. Not as fat as Paige, but you’re getting there.”
