Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring John Cena and WrestleMania 42.
• Partners & Opponents For John Cena’s Rumored 6-Man Tag Match At Money In The Bank
As we have noted before, a 6-man tag team match was pitched in WWE for John Cena at Money In The Bank 2025 on June 7, that would also involve Travis Scott.
In an update from PWInsider, the pitched match is Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena teaming up with Travis and Logan Paul to take on the team of Cody Rhodes, World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso.
Rhodes hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since his loss at WrestleMania 41, and neither has Scott.
Jey will defend the World Title against Logan on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Also on Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cena will face R-Truth in a non-title match.
Jimmy is currently a part of the mid-card scene of SmackDown, and recently failed to qualify for the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
• Possible New Dates For WrestleMania 42
WrestleMania 42 will get a new location, and now, it looks like the show will take place on a different date as well.
Originally, WrestleMania 42 was announced for April 11 & 12, 2026. Now, it might take place on April 18 & 19, 2026.
Here’s what Fightful Select reported:
“Those we are speaking to are expecting a date change. The early word we’d got was that no Las Vegas deal was finalized, but they were closing in on Allegiant Stadium for April 18-19.”
However, WWE is facing problems in securing these dates as well. Here’s what the Wrestling Observer reported:
“There is a concert booked at the stadium that has not been announced that makes the moving in and setting up the stadium too tight.
Those in charge of the stadium have attempted to move the concert date but the promoters have said that they have a contract for that date and thus far have been unwilling to move.”
