On this day in Pro Wrestling history on August 9, 1980, Vince McMahon Sr.’s World Wrestling Federation held a taped house show at the world famous Shea Stadium in Flushing, New York infront of 36,295 Fans.
After 1972 and 1976, this was the third and also ended up being the last “Showdown at Shea” event the WWF held there.

• Paul Heyman Teases A Major Shocker For SummerSlam 2018
WWE posted unaired footage from Paul Heyman’s sit-down interview with Renee Young on their YouTube channel and Heyman teased a major shocker for SummerSlam 2018.
Below is what Heyman said during the final moments of this unaired footage:
