Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring WrestleMania 42 and Las Vegas.

• Possible New Dates For WrestleMania 42

WrestleMania 42 will get a new location, and now, it looks like the show will take place on a different date as well.

Originally, WrestleMania 42 was announced for April 11 & 12, 2026. Now, it might take place on April 18 & 19, 2026.

Here’s what Fightful Select reported:

“Those we are speaking to are expecting a date change. The early word we’d got was that no Las Vegas deal was finalized, but they were closing in on Allegiant Stadium for April 18-19.”

However, WWE is facing problems in securing these dates as well. Here’s what the Wrestling Observer reported:

“There is a concert booked at the stadium that has not been announced that makes the moving in and setting up the stadium too tight.

Those in charge of the stadium have attempted to move the concert date but the promoters have said that they have a contract for that date and thus far have been unwilling to move.”

• WWE’s New Idea For Las Vegas Revealed

According to PWInsider, WWE is planning to increase the frequency of its major events in Las Vegas every year, making the city a central hub for its premium live events.

This strategic shift aligns with rumors of WWE planning to relocate WrestleMania 42 from New Orleans to Las Vegas, marking the second consecutive year the event will be held in the city.

The move, if confirmed, would be notable, as it would be the first time since WrestleManias IV and V in Atlantic City (1988–1989) that WWE has hosted back-to-back WrestleManias in the same city.

Word going on is that the financial success of WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium in April 2025 influenced WWE’s leadership to return to Las Vegas for the subsequent year.

This increased focus on Las Vegas reflects WWE’s broader strategy to capitalize on the city’s infrastructure and entertainment appeal, potentially establishing it as a recurring location for its flagship events.
