• OLD SCHOOL VIDEO HISTORY (August 12, 1981) – Bruno Sammartino Retires

On this day in 1981, the World Wrestling Federation, owned by Vince McMahon Sr., aired an interview with former WWWF World Heavyweight Champion Bruno Sammartino, in which he announced his retirement.

The retirement wouldn’t last long, as he returned to the WWF, that was now owned by Vince McMahon Jr., in 1984 as a commentator but also to wrestle a couple matches every now and then, thus turning into a semi-retired part timer.

You can watch his 1981 announcement below:

• Possible Spoiler On Top Post-SummerSlam Feud

As seen on this week’s episode of RAW, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns defeated Constable Baron Corbin in the opening match of RAW.

You can watch it below:

Even after defeating Corbin in a match, Reigns went on to punch Constable Corbin in the mid-section during a backstage segment after Corbin revealed that Stephanie McMahon threatened to take away Reigns’ SummerSlam Title opportunity if he teamed with Seth Rollins.

You can watch it below:

It is being speculated that this is going to lead to the Authority (basically Stephanie McMahon in this case) feuding with Reigns after SummerSlam 2018.

With Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens being advertised, it is being rumored that Owens would represent the Authority.

We’ll keep you updated regarding this.
