Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring John Cena and Hall of Fame.
• On next week’s RAW in Brussels, Belgium, John Cena will make his first appearance on WWE TV since turning heel.
According to Billi Bhatti, Cena might not explain his heel turn in a promo, but could attack R-Truth as WWE has some concerns about fans in Brussels:
“Cena will return on Monday, but I’m hearing from reliable sources that WWE may be reluctant to have him actually speak and address his turn verbally in Brussels.
The concern is that Brussels is not an English-speaking city, and Belgium’s primary language is not English. So, will WWE get the reaction they want from the promo? This is a major moment—Cena’s first promo since turning heel—and the idea being floated is that he will be interrupted by R-Truth.
Now, this isn’t confirmed news, but I’ve been told it has been heavily discussed to the point where I’m comfortable reporting it. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but it does seem like WWE is very keen on this direction. At this juncture, R-Truth is likely to interrupt Cena, and instead of making this Cena’s first full promo as a heel, WWE would use the segment to generate more heat.
Cena turning on R-Truth—who has openly stated that Cena is his childhood idol and often mimics him in kayfabe—would be a huge moment. If Cena destroys R-Truth to the point where we even get some color, it would put significant heat on him.
R-Truth is a beloved comedy character, but this would be a powerful way to solidify Cena’s turn. It also solves WWE’s concern about Cena cutting a major promo in English in a non-English-speaking country, as the angle itself would compensate for that.”
• WWE’s business is in a boom period right now. Most of their shows are completely sold out, and that is despite the fact that ticket prices have never been higher!
There’s a lot of demand for WWE right now and TKO officials are taking full advantage of it to maximize their profits.
The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at the BleauLive Theater in Fontainebleau Las Vegas on April 18 and the cheapest ticket for this event costs $283. A lot of fans aren’t happy about this.
According to Sean Ross Sapp on The Hump, WWE Officials are very proud of their ability to sell out their shows despite high prices, so fans shouldn’t expect to see the ticket prices come down anytime soon.
