On this week’s episode of SmackDown, former SmackDown General Manager Paige announced that she’s going to debut a team on next week’s SmackDown (for a feud with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics).
The team that’s going to debut next week is rumored to be The Sky Pirates (Kairi Sane & Io Shirai) from NXT.
At last night’s NXT TV tapings, Kairi Sane faced Shayna Baszler in an NXT Women’s Championship with the stipulation being that Sane won’t get another shot at the Title if she loses.
Kairi lost the match and had a farewell after the match.
Kairi was backstage on this week’s SmackDown and word going on is that this is going to lead to Kairi, along with Io Shirai, coming up to the main roster as a tag team.
