Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, featuring the Owen Hart Cup and Roman Reigns.

• Possible Winner Of The Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament

At AEW Dynasty, TBS Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone defeated Julia Hart to advance in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament.

According to Sean Ross Sapp on the Fightful post-show, the most likely scenario of this tournament is for Mercedes to win and continue her gimmick of collecting titles, as the winner of the Owen Hart Cup tournament receives a separate championship belt.

If Mercedes wins the tournament, she’ll have the opportunity to go after another title – the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In: Texas.

• Rising WWE Star Wants To Face Roman Reigns: “Just Because He’s The Greatest”

Bron Breakker has his sights set on a dream opponent—and he’s not holding back about who it is. The current Intercontinental Champion recently expressed a strong desire to face none other than Roman Reigns, calling The Tribal Chief the measuring stick in the wrestling business.

“I would love to work with Roman Reigns one day just because he’s the greatest,” Breakker told SHAK Wrestling.

The two briefly crossed paths earlier this year in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match, where Bron speared Roman, but Reigns still eliminated Breakker.

More than just a marquee matchup, Breakker sees the potential encounter as a crucial opportunity for growth.

“We saw a little bit of him and I in the Rumble this year. I hope that I get to stand across from him one day and we get to work. That would be a huge moment for me, my career, and just to learn from him in any capacity, I think would just be monumental to my progress as a superstar in learning.”

Breakker is scheduled to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Penta, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio in a Fatal 4-Way match at WrestleMania 41.
