Before he won the Royal Rumble match this year, Drew McIntyre was involved in a mini-feud against The Viper. McIntyre was involved in a few matches with Randy Orton on the road to Royal Rumble.
Their last encounter ended in complete chaos, with no definite winner. However, Orton was the last man standing.
McIntyre and Orton crossed paths in the Royal Rumble match, but there was very little interaction between them. They both still owe each other a one-on-one encounter.
Now is the right time for WWE to continue from where they left off. Orton is a legend in the making, and he helps in elevating the status of any wrestler he works with. His experience as a main-eventer will help McIntyre as well.
He’s playing a vicious heel right now, so a feud against the red-hot WWE Champion would be worth watching.
