3. Sasha Banks NOT Suspended, Real Reason Behind Her Dropping The Women’s Title At SummerSlam 2016
As we saw at SummerSlam 2016, Charlotte defeated “The Boss” Sasha Banks to recapture the WWE Women’s Championship.
As soon as Sasha lost the Title, reports came out that she has been pulled from WWE Live Events till mid-September. There was a rumor going on that Sasha might have been suspended due to a possible Wellness policy failure (as more Wellness Policy failures are expected to be released after the failure of Alberto Del Rio, Paige & Eva Marie).
However, that’s not the case. Sasha hasn’t been suspended and the reason she dropped the Title is that she needs some time off to heal up (it should be noted that Sasha took a few dangerous bumps at SummerSlam 2016).
Word is that the plan for Sasha to drop the Title was taken about a week ago.
Speaking of Sasha, WWE noted in their preview for tonight’s Raw that Sasha suffered a lower-back injury during the match. Below is what they posted:
“Proving that she doesn’t need help to come out on top in big match situations, Charlotte ruthlessly brutalized Sasha Banks last night at SummerSlam to become a two-time WWE Women’s Champion.
Sustaining a lower back injury during last night’s match, The Boss refused to give up despite excruciating pain, and Sasha will undoubtedly display that same tenacity in her quest to reclaim the crown jewel of Raw’s Women’s division. How will she retaliate against Charlotte tonight?”
