Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring RAW and Goldberg.
• WWE has significant plans for Monday Night RAW on Netflix, with the debut episode expected to have a premium live event feel.
Advertised stars include John Cena, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair and CM Punk for the Los Angeles premiere.
Netflix, which already hosts a WWE content section, lists RAW as a TV-14 show. While this doesn’t signal a return to the crassness of the Attitude Era, it suggests more uncensored promos and slightly edgier storylines.
Earlier this year, The Rock’s promos were sometimes censored by FOX and the USA Network. Triple H confirmed that this won’t happen on Netflix.
The first RAW on Netflix will take place at the Intuit Dome in L.A. on January 6, 2025. Travis Scott will appear on this episode and his music will serve as the official theme song for the red brand during the Netflix era.

• Goldberg will have his retirement match in WWE in 2025 and it could be against World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
During an interview with fellow WCW Veteran Ernest “The Cat” Miller, Goldberg was asked if he’d like to face Ric Flair in his final match.
The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion turned down the idea, saying he doesn’t want to see The Nature Boy die in the ring:
“I love Ric. I don’t want him to die again. I don’t have a lot left in me, but I’ve got too much for Ric at this point.”
Flair suffered a heart attack in his last match in 2022.
