• RAW Mid-Carder Was “Ready To Fight” CM Punk Backstage After His WWE Return

CM Punk made his long-awaited return to professional wrestling in 2021 after a 7-year hiatus. Following a strong start to his run in AEW, tensions with The Elite and several other wrestlers led to his exit from the company.

Punk shocked the wrestling world again in November 2023 when he returned to WWE. Speaking about the World Heavyweight Champion’s comeback on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Grayson Waller revealed that he initially expected chaos, not kindness, from The Best In The World.

“I remember I took a Superkick from Jey Uso, and it was the day that Punk left his last job. I took a Superkick, and I put a photo online of me icing my jaw with a Pepsi can, which was just like, sometimes I like to have fun online and cause some chaos. So when he was coming over here, I was like, this is gonna be fun. What Punk are we gonna get? And then we’ve got this real soft Punk. So I want to find out who the real Punk is.

He’s really helpful backstage, and he’s super nice and all this. I’m either gonna be really disappointed that he’s softened, and this is the new Punk, and he’s just a really nice guy now, or the real Punk is hiding in there, and I want to be the one to bring it out. That’s what I want to do. I guess I was ready to fight him backstage. I thought that’s what we were gonna do. I was like, this is gonna be sick, like he’s gonna start causing chaos, like he’s gonna beat up little flops backstage again – I’m in, dude.

But now he’s just a really nice guy and very helpful to everyone, helps everyone at NXT and does all this. That’s not the Punk that I love. I want to bring it back out, so I’m gonna get that opportunity. I’ve told him to his face, I’m like, there’s gonna be a day where I’m gonna stand across from you with a microphone, and I’m gonna tell you exactly what I think about you, and I want you to tell me exactly what you think about me.”

• “We aren’t good for each other and don’t need to wrestle ever again” – Cody Rhodes On Top WWE Star

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins have one of the most storied rivalries in recent WWE history. The American Nightmare defeated The Visionary three times in a row following his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 in 2022.

Rollins finally scored his first win over Rhodes at Crown Jewel 2025, ending his long streak of losses and capturing the Men’s Crown Jewel Title. However, the victory came at a cost, as Rollins sustained a serious shoulder injury during the bout.

Speaking on All The Smoke podcast, Rhodes discussed the match and confirmed that Rollins has since undergone surgery. He also admitted that after everything they’ve put each other through, the two might not be good for each other in the ring anymore.

“Seth Rollins and I recently wrestled at Crown Jewel and Seth finally beat me. I’d beat him three times before. Nobody had sweeped him like that. But he tore his… I don’t know… I wanna say his rotator cuff. We don’t have an actual answer.

But Seth I know has gone under the knife and got surgery so, at this point, real, not real, however you look at the industry, him and I aren’t good for each other. We don’t need to wrestle ever again. He’s lost a shoulder. That was the first major injury I ever had. But, I was glad to be in the ring with him that night. It was special.”

Rhodes tore his pectoral muscle before his Hell in a Cell match against Rollins in 2022. The Undisputed WWE Champion was forced to miss several months of action before making his return at Royal Rumble 2023.

• Jake Paul Says He’d “Knock The F” Out Of 2 Top WWE Stars

Jake Paul has made quite a name for himself in Boxing, holding a 12-1 professional record with wins over former UFC stars like Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva. He also defeated Mike Tyson last year.

Speaking to Jim Varsallone, Jake was asked if he could step inside a pro wrestling ring like his brother, Logan Paul, and take on top WWE stars like Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens.

Here’s what he replied:

“I don’t think they’d want that smoke. They’re amazing wrestlers, I don’t think I could take them. I think Logan can take them. In the boxing ring, they’d get knocked the f**k out.”

Jake Paul appeared in WWE at Crown Jewel 2022 in Saudi Arabia, where he unsuccessfully helped Logan Paul against The Bloodline during Logan’s match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
