• Real Reason Behind AJ Styles & Omos Being Off WWE TV Since WrestleMania 37

On Night 1 of WrestleMania 37, the team of AJ Styles & Omos defeated The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) to win the RAW Tag Team Championship.

This was Omos’ official in-ring debut match on the WWE main roster.

Styles & Omos haven’t appeared on any episode of RAW after their Title win at WrestleMania 37 and WWE gave no update on them during their shows.

They appeared on today’s episode of WWE’s The Bump, where Styles noted that he & Omos were partying in Nigeria after their Title win at WrestleMania 37, and that’s why they haven’t appeared on WWE programming in recent weeks.

Styles then noted that they’ll appear live on next week’s RAW.

According to Fightful Select, the real reason Styles & Omos haven’t appeared on WWE programming since WrestleMania 37 is that “at least” one of them wasn’t cleared for in-ring action.

No other information is available right now, but since they are returning next week, it looks like everything is fine now.

On this day in 2009, we lost legendary Old School Wrestler “Playboy” Buddy Rose (Real name: Paul Perschmann) at the age of 56 due to diabetes.

He was considered a Legend in several territories such as Verne Gagne’s AWA and Don Owen’s Pacific Northwest, but also made a name for himself in the WWF during the 80s.

Buddy Rose (as The Executioner) wrestled Tito Santana in the opening match of the first ever WrestleMania in 1985.

When he returned to the World Wrestling Federation in 1990, he was used mainly as a ‘Jobber To The Stars’.

In 2019, Buddy Rose was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of their annual Legacy Wing inductions.
