• Reason Behind Drew McIntyre Being Pulled From SmackDown
At WrestleMania 39 Sunday, Drew McIntyre was pinned by Gunther in the Intercontinental Championship match, which also involved Sheamus.
After the match, McIntyre waved goodbye to the fans on Twitter:

McIntyre was pulled from Friday’s WWE signing event, as well as the big SmackDown after WrestleMania 39 show.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Drew was pulled from SmackDown due to health issues.
McIntyre is an absolute workhorse. Not only did he carry the RAW brand as the WWE Champion during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has also worked while being hurt and ill in recent memory.
Not just that, he had neck issues in January 2022 and returned within a month.
McIntyre was extremely ill before an episode of SmackDown in March and originally wasn’t cleared to compete, but eventually was cleared by WWE’s medical team when he arrived to the arena. Here’s what PWInsider reported:
“McIntyre, who works all the Live Events, has received a lot of respect for how hard he has worked for the company, even when under the weather or working banged up over the last year. He’s very much a locker room leader in that regard.”
