β€’ Reason Behind Zelina Vega Being Released From WWE

WWE announced earlier today that they’ve released wrestler and manager, Zelina Vega, from the company.

Below is their statement on it:

“WWE has come to terms on the release of Zelina Vega. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

The announcement of her release came about 10 minutes after she tweeted that she supports unionization.

“I support unionization.”

However, she didn’t get released because of this tweet.

PWInsider is reporting that Vega was informed of her release on Friday afternoon, and it came because she didn’t want to leave her Twitch career.

Vega made her debut in WWE as part of the NXT brand in summer of 2017, and spent most of her career managing former United States Champion Andrade. She recently started competing as a singles wrestler after a long time on the SmackDown brand.
