Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day.

• Otis and Tucker, known as Heavy Machinery, were once among WWE’s most beloved tag teams. While Otis remains active on WWE TV, it appears Tucker has officially retired from professional wrestling.

The duo entertained fans from 2016 to 2020 with their chemistry and intense style. Their partnership came to a surprising end when Tucker turned on Otis at Hell In A Cell 2020, costing Otis his Money In The Bank briefcase. Less than a year later, Tucker was released by WWE.

Dr. Chris Featherstone of SK Wrestling reports that Tucker, in a conversation, confirmed his retirement from wrestling with no plans for a comeback. He’s now dedicated to his role as a and spends his time raising his two kids:

“I just spoke with former WWE star Tucker of Heavy Machinery. He said that he has retired from professional wrestling and does not plan to return. He currently is a high school wrestling coach & raising his two kids. Best wishes.”

After his WWE release, Tucker, wrestling under his real name Levi Cooper, took a few matches with DEFY Wrestling over two years, with his final match on June 24, 2023.

• Last year, Mustafa Ali made headlines by leaving WWE to pursue his career elsewhere.

Earlier this year, Ali captured the TNA X-Division Championship, which boosted his career significantly. Ali later left TNA Wrestling in August, and he has been a free agent ever since.

According to Fightful Select, there have been internal discussions about bringing Ali to All Elite Wrestling. Although he’s received multiple pitches for an AEW signing, he has not officially joined the company yet.
