Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has been an important part of WWE in 2023 by being one of the most active talents.
She regularly appears on RAW and has started making frequent appearances on NXT too.
WWE was building up a Women’s World Championship match between Ripley and her former best friend, Raquel Rodriguez, on the road to SummerSlam.
However, the company booked Mami to get into a brawl with her challenger on the RAW before SummerSlam, which led to the match being delayed due to Rodriguez’s storyline knee injury.
It was almost confirmed that WWE would announce Ripley vs. Rodriguez and Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus for SummerSlam this week, but surprisingly both matches will not take place at The Biggest Party Of The Summer.
This was a hot topic of discussion on Twitter over the past couple of days.
One Ripley fan tweeted:
“rhea has every right to be upset so does becky so does trish.”
Another one tweeted a video of Ripley sarcastically clapping and captioned it:
“me at wwe when they give logan paul a match but not rhea WHO IS ONE OF YOUR WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS 💀”
Ripley liked both of these tweets, which probably means she isn’t happy about being left off the SummerSlam match-card.

This will be the second WWE Premium Live Event in a row at which the Women’s World Championship won’t be defended.
