Ric Flair faced severe backlash after posting a controversial tweet about Hurricane Milton relief efforts, which he later deleted.

The storm caused significant damage in Florida, including fatalities in St. Lucie County, and Flair tried to offer support but was criticized for his approach.

In his tweet, Flair expressed guilt over enjoying his time in Las Vegas while others were suffering in Tampa, where he lives.

He offered to donate $1,000 to charity and provide Wooooo Energy drinks to help residents. He also praised his grandson for volunteering in recovery efforts.

Flair wrote:

“I Am So Sorry For Being In Las Vegas Reaping The Benefits Of Being The Personality I Am. I Am So Sorry For Everything, All The Suffering, And All The Hardships People Are Going Through In Tampa Where I Live.

I Can’t Give You $100,000, But I Will Donate $1,000 Dollars To Whatever Charity You Would Like, And I Will Supply Tampa With All The @woooooenergy Drinks That Are Needed To Keep Everyone’s Energy Up.”

After receiving negative comments, Flair expressed frustration and challenged critics to match his $1,000 donation. He also demanded honesty, asking people to use their real names.

“I’m So Sick Of All The Haters When I’m Just Trying To Help Out & Not Make A Dime For It! Forget The Energy Drink, Let’s Play The Game Of If You Can Match My Donation Of $1,000. And Please Try To Show Up With Your Real Names. Please! If I Can’t Google You, How Can I Talk To You. At Least Leave Your Phone Number!”

Flair’s tweet was seen as insensitive, leading to further backlash. Flair deleted his original tweet. Meanwhile, Hurricane Milton also impacted WWE’s NXT, with travel issues stranding several wrestlers in St. Louis.
