MJF’s AEW return remains uncertain after completing filming for Happy Gilmore 2.

The former AEW World Champion has been making strides in Hollywood, with a major role in the highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 comedy classic Happy Gilmore.

MJF will portray one of Happy Gilmore’s sons, joining original cast members Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, and Christopher McDonald.

This marks a significant step forward in MJF’s acting career, following his role in The Iron Claw and upcoming projects like The Floaters and Stranglehold.

According to Fightful Select, MJF wrapped up filming in late September.

Though he’s expected to return to AEW soon, no specific date has been confirmed.

He has been absent from the ring since AEW All Out, where he defended his title against Daniel Garcia but suffered a post-match attack, leading to a piledriver injury.

MJF’s Hollywood journey is far from over.

He’s also landed another film role alongside Justin Long and Ron Perlman. While details are scarce, MJF’s success in both wrestling and acting continues to grow.

Represented by Activist Artists Management and CAA, his future in entertainment looks promising.

With multiple film projects in the works and his AEW return unconfirmed, there’s speculation about whether MJF is transitioning to a full-time Hollywood career. While his wrestling future remains uncertain, MJF is proving to be more than just a wrestling star.
