• Ric Flair Reveals The Worst Thing He Has Ever Seen In Wrestling

On the latest episode of his weekly ‘To Be The Man’ podcast, WCW/WWF Legend Ric Flair referred to Ed Ferrara (under the name Oklahoma) mocking Jim Ross’ Bell’s Palsy on a LIVE episode of WCW Monday NITRO in 2000 as the worst thing he has ever seen in professional wrestling.

Here’s what The Nature Boy said:

“This is a very serious statement. When Vince Russo and what’s his buddy’s name (Ed Ferrara). When they mocked up Jim Ross and made fun of the Bell’s Palsy, I thought it was the worst thing I’ve ever seen in wrestling in my life.

Forget anything I ever went through personally, it was the worst thing and it’s unforgivable. Unforgivable to make fun of someone’s situation like that, which was you know, I can only imagine what it did to Jim’s mind.”

Ed Ferrera & Vince Russo were part of the World Wrestling Federation’s creative department during the famous Attitude Era, but eventually ended up leaving the WWF for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in the fall of 1999 and took over the entire creative regime over there, which played a big part in the downfall of the promotion.
