TMZ Sports spoke with WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper. Piper gave his thoughts on Dusty Rhodes passing away. Piper called Dusty Rhodes a national treasure and said he was in a league of his own.
Piper also told a crazy story where he & Dusty Rhodes smuggled a donkey into an apartment. TMZ also spoke with Dustin Runnels (a.k.a Goldust), who is Dusty’s elder son. Goldust said their family is still shocked and “extremely sad”.
Below is what Dustin said:
“My dad was my hero. I owe everything to my father. I am who I am because of him. He was an amazing man. My dad was the greatest man I’ve ever known. Our family is extremely sad … but thankful for the unbelievable amount of support we have received from around the world.”
