• Roman Reigns Comments On Forgetting His Lines During Memorable Promo Segment With John Cena

In 2017, John Cena and Roman Reigns had a contract signing segment on RAW for their first one-on-one pay-per-view singles match against each other at No Mercy.

This ended up being one of the most memorable promo segments of the last decade.

During this segment, Roman forgot his lines, which resulted in Cena taking a shot at Reigns’ promo skills.

The current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion appeared on Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast, where he was asked if he has ever blanked during a promo.

Roman admitted that he has blanked a few times. Then Logan asked The Tribal Chief if that happened during his segment with Cena, and Roman said yes.

Logan then pointed out how Roman’s promos got better after Cena took a shot at him, and asked if Cena made him better at promos.

Below is what The Head Of The Table said:

“I think just being in that position and going through that experience made me better. I don’t think it was anything like John specifically, you know what I mean?

Because I take from everybody I’ve worked with, everyone I’ve competed with. I always take something that I learned from them.

If you’re an offensive coordinator, I’m working under you as a Quarterback coach or something and it’s like, man that offense was good, I take everything that I like from it and I add a little bit to my own playbook and then now I got my own formula.”
