• Roman Reigns To Face A RAW Superstar Next?

“The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns was scheduled to kick off 2022 by defending the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in the main event of the Day 1 PPV, but that didn’t happen because Reigns tested positive for COVID-19.

Brock Lesnar was then added to the WWE Championship match at Day 1, which he won and became the new WWE Champion.

The next night on RAW, Bobby Lashley won a #1 Contenders match and will now face Lesnar for the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble 2022 PPV.

However, Lesnar is still a Free Agent and he will appear on this week’s SmackDown to continue his feud with The Head Of The Table.

The Wrestling Observer is speculating that Reigns will face a RAW Superstar next:

“I believe that they have something planned for Roman Reigns. It might be someone from the RAW side moving over. Lesnar and Reigns are gonna have a confrontation this Friday, so maybe that’ll set up something.”

This makes sense, since there aren’t any credible babyface PPV challengers left for Reigns on SmackDown. Drew McIntyre was one, but he’s dealing with neck issues and was written off WWE programming at Day 1.

• Old School WWF Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 59th birthday of Old School WWF Veteran Ludvig Borga (Real name: Tony Halme).

He wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation as an upper mid-carder in 1993 & early 1994 and was eventually going to be pushed to be a main eventer, but then got injured and left the company.

Borga’s biggest accomplishment during his time in the WWF was ending Tatanka’s 2-year winning streak.

After his Professional Wrestling Career was over, he became an MMA fighter, losing to Randy “The Natural” Couture at ‘UFC 13: The Ultimate Force’ on May 30, 1997, before becoming a politician and even got elected into the Parliament of his home country Finland.
