JANUARY 23, 1984
The day Professional Wrestling would change forever, when Hulk Hogan won the WWF World Title for the very first time.
All historians agree, that without Vince making Hogan the face of the company back then, not only would Pro-Wrestling never have become a national and international sensation like it eventually became, it would probably not even be around anymore now. At least not main stream pro-wrestling.
Regardless of anyone’s personal opinion on the Hulkster, if you became fan of Professional Wrestling after 1985 (when WrestleMania was an all or nothing gamble for the WWF), there’s a pretty good chance that you would not even know Pro-Wrestling exists, without the Hulkster becoming the Champion and #1 Babyface on this day in 1984.
