This is part 8 of our Royal Rumble 2023 LIVE coverage (part 7 is here).
Up next is the main event of the evening and it is for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Kevin Owens makes his way out first, followed by Roman Reigns. Sami Zayn & Paul Heyman accompanied The Tribal Chief. The Usos & Solo Sikoa are nowhere to be seen.
Reigns has been the top champion of WWE for 881 days now. He’s 146 days away from surpassing Pedro Morales.
The match begins and fans are chanting “Sami Uso”. During the match, Owens was going for a high risk move, but he slipped and fell on Roman’s back.
Owens goes for a Moonsault, but misses. Roman spears Kevin and goes for the cover, but Kevin kicked out.
Roman pushes Kevin and the referee is knocked out. Kevin hits the Pop-Up Powerbomb on Roman and goes for the cover, but the referee is not there to count. Reigns takes advantage and hits a low blow.
Reigns tells Zayn to get a Chair. Sami said he told him to do nothing, and Reigns shouts at him and tells him to get it.
Sami gives him a chair after hesitation and Owens hits Reigns with a Stunner! Owens goes for the cover, but Reigns kicks out.
Reigns hits a Superman Punch and Spear, but Owens kicks out again! Sami is telling Kevin to stay down. Reigns spears Owens through the barricade at ringside.
Roman sends Kevin head-first into the steel ring steps twice! Roman nails a Spear and it’s over.

The iconic reign of The Head Of The Table continues.
The Usos and Solo Sikoa come out. Jey Uso is out to honor Sami, but Reigns tells them to attack Kevin first. Usos begin assault Kevin. The Usos hit the 1D on Kevin.
Usos wrap Kevin’s neck in a steel chair and Solo did the hip attack in the corner. Heyman now passes handcuffs to Roman. Usos are now handcuffing Owens to the ring ropes.
Jimmy & Jey repeatedly superkick him and Sami is very uncomfortable watching this. Fans are chanting for Sami to do something and Roman is amused by it.
Roman is about to smash Kevin’s head in with a chair, but Sami gets in between and tells his Tribal Chief to stop. Sami says this is beneath you, Roman.
Reigns now passes the chair to Sami and wants him to hit Owens. Roman is hyping up Sami to do it. Roman tells Sami to pull the trigger, but Sami isn’t doing it. Roman gets angry and slaps Sami multiple times and gets in his face.
Sami finally snaps and hits Roman in the back with the chair to a huge pop. Jimmy Uso then superkicks Sami and he starts beating Zayn up. Solo joins in and hits the Samoan Spike.

Roman orders The Bloodline to tear up Sami. Jey isn’t joining in on the attack and leaves the ring.
Reigns takes the chair and absolutely destroys Sami. He tears Sami’s Honorary Uce T-Shirt apart and begins punching him. Fans start chanting “F**k you, Roman”.

Royal Rumble 2023 goes off the air with The Bloodline looking at a fallen Sami Zayn in the ring.
Roman Reigns defeats Kevin Owens. Bloodline then brutally assault Owens. Roman told Sami Zayn to smash Owens' head in with a Steel Chair, but Sami turned on his Tribal Chief and hit him with a Steel Chair. The Bloodline then attacked Sami.
