Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving The Royal Rumble and RAW.

• WWE Royal Rumble 2025 aired on Peacock in the US and on Netflix outside of US (except in India, where their biggest fanbase is, where it still aired on TV).

Due to the addition of Netflix into the equation, Royal Rumble 2025 ended up becoming the most watched PLE in WWE history.

Here’s what the Wrestling Observer reported about it:

“This was the most-watched Royal Rumble around the world in history and actually the most-watched WWE pay-per-view event ever in history. The Rumble because there were a lot more viewers on Netflix than there were via whether it was pay-per-view in the old days or television after the pay-per-view or local streaming services that bought the network or the network or whatever, so more people watched this Royal Rumble than watched any night of WrestleMania ever, let alone every Royal Rumble ever.

So that record will be broken at WrestleMania 41, but it was, in fact, the all-time record.”

• Netflix reports that the post-Royal Rumble edition of WWE RAW this past Monday drew an average of 2.9 million viewers over the week, totaling 6.6 million hours viewed. This marks a 3.33% decline from last week’s 3 million viewers.

The episode ranked in the top 10 in Bolivia, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Over the past four weeks, RAW has averaged 3.88 million viewers per week.

The show kicked off with a segment between Jey Uso and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, and the main event featured CM Punk facing Sami Zayn in a Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match.
