• Old School Wrestling Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School Wrestling Veteran Phantasio aka Spellbinder (Real name: Harry Del Rios) celebrates his 48th birthday today.

During the 90s, Del Rios made a name for himself as Spellbinder in the Memphis based United States Wrestling Association (USWA) promotion, where he wrestled for several years.

Though most Old School WWF Fans know him as Phantasio, a magician character he portrayed for the World Wrestling Federation in 1995, but the gimmick was dropped after only a few appearances.

As “Del Rios”, he also wrestled on TNA’s inaugural PPV in 2002, but wasn’t used by the company ever again.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHANTASIO!

• RUMOR: Former United States Champion Leaving WWE

As we noted earlier, a report from WrestleVotes stated that a WWE wrestler has decided not to re-sign with the company once his current contract expires. However, the name of that wrestler was not revealed.

Twitter user SoDuTw, who has broken several news stories in the past, is reporting that the wrestler leaving WWE is former United States Champion Ricochet.

“The leading person speculated that isn’t re-signing with WWE seems to be Ricochet. He signed on the dotted line very early January of 2018. The standard deal is 3 years.

I’ve received a number of messages saying that the Wrestlevotes report is indeed about Ricochet. Early days and isn’t able to be formally reported yet but yeah. Absolutely no one is surprised.”

Although there isn’t any official confirmation about this yet, it’s likely that Ricochet will part ways with WWE next year.
