• Rumor Killer On Braun Strowman’s Original Tag Team Partner
GiveMeSport recently posted an article where that noted that the original plan for Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 34 was for Strowman to team up with a returning Bobby Lashley.
However, that’s not the case. As DirtySheets.net reported on multiple occasions, the plan has always been for Strowman to look super-strong at WrestleMania and there was never any plan to choose a partner who would be seen on the same level as Strowman (as that wasn’t the story they were telling).
Dirty Sheets noted that WWE officials were looking at partners like James Ellsworth, Michael Cole or Curt Hawkins, but they eventually went with Nicholas (which they thought was a unique idea).
Strowman & Nicholas went on to capture the RAW Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 34 with Strowman single-handedly defeating The Bar (Cesaro & Sheamus). Strowman & Nicholas vacated the RAW Tag Team Titles the next night on RAW after WrestleMania 34.
