The tributes are pouring in as former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt unexpectedly passed away at the age of 36.

Current AEW star Miro (fka Rusev in WWE) posted a video on Instagram, where he recalled his first ever meeting with ‘The Eater of Worlds’.

Below is what Miro said:

“I met him at my tryout for WWE back in 2010. When everyone gets in the ring before the show and everybody’s trying new moves, and trying to figure things out.

I was an extra on the outside. I remember Undertaker called me in the ring because Bray wanted to try some new moves, so that’s how I got to meet Bray for the first time, he was Husky Harris at the time I believe he was. I got to sit in the corner and he gave me the big Cannonball over and over until Taker was happy with it (laughs).

He was such a nice guy because he took care of me of course, never hurt me, never did anything. I got signed to WWE and went about a year later to FCW down in Florida. I didn’t expect anyone to remember me since I was there for a brief 30 minutes or whatever it was at the tryout.

But I remember Windham saw me, came up to me and said hey I remember you helped me with all those moves. It made me feel so good man because especially when you’re the new guy in a WWE developmental all you hear is people step on toes, and trying to take your job, and you feel insecure. Especially me when I was only 3 years in the business, but Bray just saying that made me feel so welcomed.

He was a guy who just made you feel welcomed. He could be so gentle and aggressive at the same time but you could have any kind of conversation with him. His brain never stopped working.

A very sad day. We all love Bray, we love your family, and we’re gonna miss you my man. Rest easy, rest in peace, say hello to Brodie, and we’ll see you when the time is right.”
