As we noted earlier, Stephanie McMahon put Sami Zayn in a No DQ match against former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens on tonight’s Raw.
Stephanie also put Zayn’s career on the line in this match (if Zayn loses, he’s fired from Raw).
During their match, Samoa Joe came out to help Owens win the match, but United States Champion Chris Jericho’s music hit and he attacked Joe with a Steel Chair from behind.
This distraction on the outside allowed Sami to defeat Owens and keep his career alive. Sami will now go to WrestleMania 33 and will be a part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Owens attacked Sami after the match, but Jericho made the save again as he attacked Owens with a Steel Chair and cleared the ring.
Jericho then put Owens on “The List” to end the segment to a huge pop.
