• Sammy Guevara Has Heat With Tony Khan & Chris Jericho, Banned From Impact Wrestling

On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara quit Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle stable.

After that, there were plans for Sammy to show up on Impact Wrestling and shoot the angle the next day (AEW & Impact are working together these days).

Impact Wrestling officials pitched an idea, but AEW President Tony Khan turned it down. Another idea was pitched after that and Khan approved it.

However, Guevara complained to Impact officials on the day of tapings about the creative direction, and this resulted in Impact officials contacting Tony Khan & Chris Jericho regarding the issue.

Jericho then told Guevara to go home as he feared Guevara could harm AEW’s relationship with Impact. Jericho then called Impact Wrestling EVP Don Callis and asked him to ban Guevara from Impact as a punishment.

Here’s what Slam Wrestling reported about it:

“Plans were made to shoot the angle the next day but Impact received a message directly from Guevara complaining about the creative direction. Impact in turn contacted Khan and Jericho with this news. Jericho reached out to Impact Executive Vice-President Don Callis about banning Guevara from Impact’s premises.”

Fightful has also confirmed this story.
