• Former WWE star Santino Marella has pitched the idea of being the first father-daughter duo to compete in the same Royal Rumble match.
Speaking on the No Name Wrestling Podcast, Marella expressed interest in a one-off Royal Rumble appearance alongside his daughter, Arianna Grace, who is signed to WWE NXT and recently returned after shoulder surgery.
Marella, who currently works as TNA’s Director of Authority, highlighted the Royal Rumble as his favorite event and noted it would be a great way for Arianna to rejoin WWE programming.
Here’s what the former Intercontinental Champion said:
“They haven’t called yet. My daughter, she had a little shoulder surgery. She’s back in the ring from it, but she hasn’t re-debuted yet.
So I was pitching, I’m like, I don’t think it’s ever been done, father-daughter at the same Rumble. So it’d be really good for her to return to the programming.
I’m down to show up and get that experience. Royal Rumble is my favorite pay-per-view of the year.”
