Saraya (fka Paige in WWE) has officially left AEW. She confirmed this news on her new podcast, which will debut tomorrow.
Entertainment Weekly obtained the following snippet from Saraya’s taped podcast:
“I’m here to tell you that me and AEW’s relationship has come to an end. I had an amazing time there. There’s no bad blood between us. I had such a magical time.”
Statement On AEW Departure
The former AEW Women’s World Champion tweeted the following about her departure:
“It’s mutual! But I loved my time at AEW and I had such a blast with the girls there. It’ll hold a special place in my heart. Tony was a great, AEW was great. I feel so lucky to be apart of this family for a couple years. Here’s to 2025! Wtf am I gonna get myself into now.”
Why Saraya Wants To Return To WWE At WrestleMania 42
During an interview on The Takedown on SI, Saraya teased returning to WWE at WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans in 2026.
Here’s what the former WWE Divas Champion said:
“Maybe down the line, I get to have that WrestleMania or Royal Rumble. Or you know, next year they have WrestleMania in New Orleans. And that’s where I debuted, that’s where I retired… wouldn’t that be cool if I get to come back (there) too?”
Real Reason Behind Saraya Being Forced To Hide Her Real Name
Fame, while often glamorous, comes with a dark side, especially for those in the public eye. AEW star Saraya’s recent revelations shed light on the alarming lengths some fans go to, forcing her to take drastic measures for her own safety. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, she detailed the unsettling experiences that led her to legally change her name.
“I’ve had so many fans come to my house,” Saraya (fka Paige in WWE) disclosed. “I had a guy that had no shoes on and a ripped shirt that was trying to get in my house. I’ve had people send stuff to me. People have camped outside my house before. So now I have to put everything under a different name. There’s no way I could have my name on my house.”
These anecdotes paint a disturbing picture of fan behavior that transcends admiration and ventures into dangerous obsession. The idea of someone showing up barefoot, attempting to enter her home, or camping outside her residence is not only invasive but deeply concerning. It’s a stark reminder that the connection fans feel towards their favorite performers does not grant them the right to violate personal boundaries.
Saraya’s experience is not unique. Many female performers in wrestling and entertainment have shared similar stories.
