On a recent episode of ‘Busted Open Radio’, ECW Legend Tommy Dreamer spoke about former 5-time TNA/IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James and how he wants her to wrestle Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks in WWE) in IMPACT Wrestling.
Here’s what The Innovator of Violence said:
“I know there’s a great working agreement between NJPW & IMPACT Wrestling, honestly, but don’t know if it is going to happen or it could happen.
It’s above my pay grade and I think it is a dream match that is very, very tangible for all parties to have.
And I would look at a big show to do that in.
It would be a massive get to have Moné wrestle in IMPACT. And the locker room is really, really cool.
I’m sure she has a lot of friends there already, so that’s an easy fix.”
Both Mickie James and Mercedes Mone have recently expressed interest in wrestling each other at some point down the line.
Sasha Banks made her NXT debut on January 23rd 2013 and eventually made it to the main roster on July 13th 2015, when she became a member of the RAW roster.
During the May 16th 2022 episode of Monday Night RAW, she walked out on WWE after a creative dispute, alongside fellow women’s wrestler Naomi (who is now in IMPACT Wrestling), which resulted in both being suspended indefinitely and their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles were vacated.
She has since wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling, where she even won the IWGP Women’s Title in February 2023, but lost it in April.
