On this day in Pro Wrestling history on August 13, 2000, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW New Blood Rising’ LIVE on PPV from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The PPV was named after Vince Russo’s Heel stable ‘The New Blood’, but at this point in time, especially after Hogan left a month earlier, the event only drew 6,614 people into the arena.

– Triple Threat: Kevin Nash defeated Goldberg and Scott Steiner
– WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Booker T (c) defeated Jeff Jarrett
• Scott Hall Refuses To Join All Elite Wrestling
During a recent interview with Wrestlinginc, WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall was asked if he’ll be one of Chris Jericho’s mystery tag team partner on the first episode of AEW on TNT.
Below is what Hall said:
“No, not a chance for me at all. I’m loyal to WWE and am still under contract with them. I do signings and appearances connected to them, but I’m not associated with AEW. I wish those guys luck but as far as any kind of professional relationship, I’m loyal to WWE.”
