• Search For Shad Gaspard Called Off
TMZ reported that former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard and his son were part of a group of people at the Marina Del Rey beach who were caught in a strong rip tide yesterday around 4pm.
Lifeguards rushed to help the people, and Gaspard instructed them to help his son first.
While his son was successfully rescued, Gaspard was crashed down by a larger wave which may have submerged him under water. He was searched until 7:30 p.m according to CBS, and now rescuers are hoping to find him on land in a surrounding area.
Gaspard was searched today as well, but he wasn’t found.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that things aren’t looking good:
“Regarding Shad Gaspard, just heard from a friend at the location right now. It does not look good, they continued the search this morning and no sign of him.”

In an update to this, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer noted that the US Coast Guard has called off the search for Gaspard.
Many people are saying that he is presumed to be dead, unless some miracle happens.
