Former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard has gone missing after getting caught in a strong rip tide at a beach.

TMZ reported that Gaspard and his son were part of a group of people at the Marina Del Rey beach who were caught in a strong rip tide yesterday around 4pm.

Lifeguards rushed to help the people, and Gaspard instructed them to help his son first. While his son was successfully rescued, Gaspard was crashed down by a larger wave which may have submerged him under water. He was searched until 7:30 p.m according to CBS, and now rescuers are hoping to find him on land in a surrounding area.

Gaspard is best known for his time in WWE as a part of Cryme Tyme alongside JTG.
