Second Generation Superstar Harry Smith (aka Davey Boy Smith Jr.) was pulled from the latest MLW (Major League Wrestling) event, where he was supposed to challenge for the promotion’s World Championship.

The former Hart Dynasty member took to Instagram and revealed that he underwent emergency colon & appendix surgery.

Here’s what he posted:

“I wanted to inform everyone officially I needed to have Emergency surgery late last night for appendicitis + appendix removal, to find out it was diverticulitis as well. I have had part of colon removed with some of my appendix as well for the procedure. Folks this was one of the most painful experiences of my life, but I’m glad I got it done. A burst appendix can lead to serious complications too.

I’m sad to announce my withdrawal from the @majorleaguewrestling World Title Match vs. Alex Kane this weekend in Philadelphia as well. Hopefully I can get this same opportunity in the future when I’m back healthy, and so sorry to my fans, these things happen and was not something I ever want to endure again! Trust me! It was a 12/10 in the pain scale. Arigatou. I’m in stable condition now, but I am still in immense pain I’ll keep everyone posted with updates.

Thanks for everyone reaching out to me also.

Harry Smith is the son of the late, great WWF Legend ‘The British Bulldog’ Davey Boy Smith, who passed away way too early in 2002.

He joined WWE’s developmental promotions in 2006 and debuted on the WWE main roster in October 2007 under the name ‘DH Smith’.

By May 2009, he was teamed up with Jim Neidhart’s daughter Natalya Neidhart and her real life boyfriend (and now husband) Tyson Kidd as The Hart Dynasty.

Harry was released in August 2011 and wasn’t seen on WWE TV until 2021, when he posthumously inducted his father into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The company then signed him to a contract in July 2021, but released him again in November 2021, without even appearing on television at least once.
