• Several People In WWE Are Unhappy With Tom Segura’s RAW Appearance

Comedian Tom Segura’s appearance on this week’s RAW has reportedly caused discontent among WWE personnel. According to WrestleVotes, several individuals within the company (both wrestlers and staff members) were unhappy with Segura’s involvement, given his past criticisms of professional wrestling. While it was understood that his appearance was a directive from Netflix, many felt that allowing someone who had previously expressed negative sentiments about wrestling to participate in the show was inappropriate.

For those who don’t know, Segura said on his podcast back in 2020 that professional wrestling is for “retards,” and called the wrestling business “fake” and “stupid.” This controversial take led to Dolph Ziggler tweeting the following 5 years ago:

“Hi Tom, big fan of both of you and Christina P, for years. I am a former collegiate wrestler turned professional wrestler, and a lifelong wrestling fan. I have been with WWE for 15 years now and we are the epitome of sports entertainment.

There are villains, heroes, undertakers, superhero’s and everything in between for children and adults of all walks of life. We are just like any tv show, movie & even podcast except, our risks are much more real (sans Tom Cruise hanging on to the outside of Elon Musk’s spaceship).

I am extremely proud of the incredible work wrestlers continue to put in everyday and I am pleased with our product (usually). I will assume this is a comedic take from someone having fun. If not, I am always willing to discuss the professional wrestling business at length, any time and any place.”

• WWE Officials Impressed With What Chelsea Green Did After Getting Injured

Chelsea Green suffered a broken nose during her match against Zelina Vega during the Women’s United States Championship match on Saturday Night’s Main Event, but earned praise backstage for how she handled it.

According to Fightful Select, the injury happened at the end of their match, when a misfired 619 led to the break. Despite the injury, Green went straight backstage and filmed content for WWE before receiving medical attention.

It was confirmed to be a clean break, and not the first time she’s dealt with a similar issue. Backstage staff noted that Green stayed positive and professional throughout the situation.

She was also open to using the moment for WWE’s social media, something that reportedly impressed several people in the company.

Green is expected to stay on television and will likely wear a protective face mask going forward.
