6. Three More Wrestlers Advance In Cruiserweight Classic, Second Round Over

On last night’s episode of WWE Cruiserweight Classic, 3 more wrestlers advanced in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament and the second round is over now.

Following are match results from last night’s CWC episode:

– Rich Swann def. Lince Dorado

– TJ Perkins def. Johnny Gargano

Quaterfinals will start next week and the following matches will take place in the Quaterfinals:

– Rich Swann vs. TJ Perkins

– Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Noam Dar

– Brian Kendrick vs. Kota Ibushi

– Gran Metalik vs. Akira Tozawa


5. More Matches For Backlash 2016 

The next WWE PPV/Network special will take place on September 11 and it will be a SmackDown Live exclusive event, Backlash 2016. Coming out of this week’s SmackDown Live, the following matches have been confirmed so far:

WWE World Title Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. AJ Styles

6 Pack Challenge For SmackDown Live Women’s Championship: Nikki Bella vs. Natalya vs. Becky Lynch vs. Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Carmella

– Finals of the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship Tournament to crown the Inaugural Champions.

The following are expected to be added to the event:

– Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt

– Baron Corbin vs. Kalisto

– The Miz defends his Intercontinental Championship

– Return of Curt Hawkins

It should be noted that John Cena won’t appear at Backlash 2016.
