As we have noted before, SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon is expected to face “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles at WrestleMania 33.
AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon – WrestleMania 33
Tonight on SmackDown Live, Styles will face Randy Orton and the winner of that match will face Bray Wyatt for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33.
The storyline that’s expected to play out is that Styles would lose to Orton, which also means he’ll lose the chance of regaining the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33.
This would get Styles infuriated at Shane O’Mac, who made the Styles vs. Orton #1 contender match despite Styles earning his spot in the WWE Title match by defeating Luke Harper on last week’s SmackDown Live.
This would eventually lead to Styles challenging Shane O’Mac for a match at WrestleMania 33. Expect this match to be some sort of a gimmick match.
