Bron Breakker was a surprise entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble 2024 match and he had a great showing.
He was actually the replacement for Brock Lesnar, who was pulled from the match.
Breakker eliminated the following 4 men from the Rumble:
– Jimmy Uso
– Finn Balor
– Ivar
– Omos
In an interview backstage after the show, Breakker said the following:
“I proved I belong on the main roster. This is my home now & I’m ready for the work.”
During an interview on the Battleground podcast, Shawn Michaels was asked if Breakker is going to leave NXT and become a permanent part of the main roster moving forward.
Here’s what HBK said:
“He may feel like that’s his home, but he’s still got work here in NXT to do whether he likes it or not (laughs). I’ll tell you this much. Strangely enough, that’s our job, right? Our job is to lose talent, but he’s one that I’m going to have trouble letting him go.
So look, I can assure you that there is more left for Bron Breakker here in NXT one way or another.
He’s an incredibly talented, very gifted, young man. As far as I’m concerned, he’s young, and as we say, full of pi$$ and vinegar. So if he wants to double time it, he can certainly do it, but I’m not letting go that easy.”
For those who don’t know, Bron Breakker is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner and a former 2-time NXT Champion.
