Former WWE Champion Sheamus was a recent guest on Chris Jericho’s “Talk is Jericho” podcast. During the podcast, Sheamus talked about former Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin repeatedly calling him a rookie during their feud in ECW.
Below is what Sheamus said:
“I’ve got no problem with Shelton, he’s an amazing athlete. But every time we were sitting down he was calling me rookie. I don’t know what it was. I’d never been anything but nice to him and I just wanted to make the feud good.”
Shelton Benjamin took to his twitter and apologized to Sheamus but noted that he doesn’t remember calling him a rookie. Below is what he tweeted:
@WWESheamus if in fact I offended u by repeatedly calling rookie, please accept my sincerest apology. But I personally don't recall 1x
