• Shelton Benjamin Reveals If Trish Stratus Was Really N-k-d In Skit With Vince McMahon

During an interview on Maven’s YouTube channel, Shelton Benjamin looked back at some memorable moments from his time in WWE, including a controversial skit from 2004.

The skit was a funny take on a racy Monday Night Football ad. That commercial featured Terrell Owens, a former Philadelphia Eagles player, and Nicolette Sheridan from Desperate Housewives. It caused quite a stir because Sheridan appeared in just a towel, trying to distract Owens before a game.

WWE’s response was a comedic parody with Trish Stratus, Shelton Benjamin, and Vince McMahon. In the sketch, Stratus playfully copied Sheridan’s towel act, while Benjamin and McMahon joined in on the exaggerated fun.

Reflecting on the segment, Benjamin stated he had no problem with its content or how it was presented. He explained, “We did one rehearsal, and again, to me, it was TV. We kind of rehearsed it once, and I heard the lines, Vince changed it up a bit, but I thought it was funny too. We were holding up a mirror to American society, saying, ‘Do you see how ridiculous this outrage is? Who is this really hurting?’ I was already on board.”

Benjamin also cleared up a common misconception, saying that Trish Stratus was not n*de during the filming. “No, I think they had like a bikini under there or something. Definitely not n@ked,” he clarified.

With a chuckle, Shelton added that he was slightly jealous when Stratus jumped into McMahon’s arms at the end of the skit.

• Cora Jade Says WWE Bosses Body Shamed Her

Cora Jade is speaking out against WWE’s internal culture following her recent release, and she’s backing fellow former NXT star Gigi Dolin in the process.

The conversation began when reports surfaced suggesting that some of WWE’s recently released NXT wrestlers were cut for being “lazy” or not standing out.

Gigi Dolin responded directly on Twitter, shutting down that claim. Here’s what she wrote:

“When I wasn’t traveling to work for either of the two companies I was working for, I trained very hard 3-4 days a week, bumping my a$$ off and doing cardio drills with one of the best/toughest coaches I’ve worked with. And worked out every single day. With live events every other weekend. So yeah I don’t wanna hear this lol. The way my body feels says otherwise.”

Shortly after, Cora Jade replied to Dolin’s post with her own experience:

“This, plus can’t forget having to go to my own gym outside of work after ‘strength and conditioning’ that wasn’t doing anything for me other than get me body shamed by my bosses, coworkers, and fans. Crazy!”
