• In the main event of the WWE Payback 2023 premium live event, Seth Rollins defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
This was Nakamura’s first ever WWE PPV / PLE main event. Rollins has now crossed 100 days as champion.
The Rollins-Nakamura feud continued on this week’s post-Payback episode of RAW.
According to Xero News, some WWE Officials want Nakamura to dethrone Rollins to become the next World Heavyweight Champion:
“Some within the company want Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, whilst there are many who support Rollins and want his reign to continue for the time being.”
Nakamura winning the World Title would be very shocking, as his booking hasn’t been strong in years.
• After last night’s Dynamite went off the air, All Elite Wrestling taped this Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage.

– Penta El Zero Miedo def. Jay Lethal to advance to the next round of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament
– Sammy Guevara confronted Chris Jericho at the announce table. Jericho suggested that they should face each other in a match to work out their issues and then focus on becoming the AEW World Tag Team Champions. They agreed to wrestle each other at Grand Slam.
– Britt Baker, Skye Blue & Hikaru Shida def. Taya Valkyrie, Anna Jay & The Bunny
– The Young Bucks def. Matt Menard & Angelo Parker
– ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe def. Jeff Hardy to advance to the next round of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament
