• On This Day In Wrestling History (March 20, 1995) – WWE & WCW Hall of Famer Passed Away
On this day in pro wrestling history on March 20, 1995, Big John Studd passed away due to excessive use of Human Growth Hormone, which had reshaped his skeleton as well as his muscles, and aggravated his tumours.
Studd made his pro-wrestling debut in 1972 and wrestled in the WWF as Chuck O’Connor. He returned to WWF in 1976 as Executioner #2 and won the WWF Tag Team Championship with his mentor Killer Kowalski. Studd fought Andre at the first ever WrestleMania in a $15,000 Bodyslam Challenge where he lost.
Studd won the 1989 Royal Rumble match and served as the special guest referee in the match between Jake Roberts & Andre the Giant at WWF WrestleMania V.
Big John Studd’s last WWF match was in 1989. He was 47 years old when he passed away and was inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame in 1995 & the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
• SmackDown Live Stars Fired, Daniel Bryan Destroyed
SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan appeared in the opening segment of SmackDown Live and talked about getting cleared to return to in-ring action.

In the main event segment of tonight’s SmackDown Live, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn congratulated Daniel Bryan on getting cleared to return to in-ring competition. Zayn then said that Owens, Zayn & Bryan sounds like a Dream Team.
Bryan then reminded them of their actions on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, where they destroyed Shane McMahon. Zayn then said Shane deserved it.
Bryan then reminded them that beating up Shane was a big deal. This led to Bryan firing Owens & Zayn. This results in Owens & Zayn attacking Bryan, but Bryan attacks them back with a series of dropkicks.

Owens & Zayn get the 2 on 1 advantage and Zayn nails a Helluva Kick on Bryan. Owens then powerbombs Bryan on the ring apron!
SmackDown Live ends with Bryan being loaded on to a stretcher.
