As we noted before, former World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger asked for his release from WWE, but was denied of the release at that point.
However, WWE has now announced that Swagger has been released from the company. Below is the statement issued by WWE:
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Jack Swagger. WWE wishes Swagger the best in all his future endeavors.”
A no-compete clause does apply to Swagger. Below are Swagger’s accomplishments in WWE:
– World Heavyweight Champion
– ECW Champion
– United States Champion
– Money in the Bank winner
Swagger was also a part of WWE’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, and he was the inaugural FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion and the final FCW Southern Heavyweight Champion.
