• SmackDown Results – New Champions Crowned, Roman Reigns vs. Adam Pearce Set For Royal Rumble 2021
Below are the complete results from tonight’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown:
– Universal Champion Roman Reigns called WWE Official Adam Pearce to the ring. Roman told Pearce that he’s supposed to look out for the talents, but he is to blame for putting Kevin Owens back in the ring against him. Roman asked Pearce if he thinks he’s stupid, and does he respect him. Pearce said he has total respect for Roman. Roman told Pearce that he’s safe for now.
– Big E (c) def. Apollo Crews to retain the Intercontinental Championship (the match first ended in a Double Pinfall, so it got restarted)
– Sonya Deville said she’s grateful to be back, and will be helping Adam Pearce
– Bianca Belair and Bayley declared their entry into the Women’s Royal Rumble 2021 match
– Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode def. The Street Profits (c) to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship
– Paul Heyman says he pulled some strings and got Adam Pearce to be in the #1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match for tonight (winner will face Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Royal Rumble 2021)
– Rey Mysterio def. Sami Zayn in the Gauntlet Match
– Shinsuke Nakamura def. Rey Mysterio in the Gauntlet Match
– Shinsuke Nakamura def. King Corbin in the Gauntlet Match
– Shinsuke Nakamura def. Daniel Bryan in the Gauntlet Match
– Adam Pearce def. Shinsuke Nakamura in the Gauntlet Match (Roman Reigns and Jey Uso brutally assaulted Nakamura before the match. Jey superkicked Pearce and put him on top of Nakamura to get Pearce to win the match. Roman Reigns vs. Adam Pearce for the Universal Championship will now take place at Royal Rumble 2021)
