Below are the results from tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
– Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes announced that he has been cleared to return to in-ring action. Ricky Saints debuted and challenged Cody to a match tonight. It was made official.
– WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley offered her assistance to Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss against Fatal Influence, but Charlotte declined and said she just needs Alexa.
– Jacy Jayne def. Charlotte Flair
After the match, Fatal Influence attacked Charlotte and Alexa Bliss, which led to Rhea Ripley making the save.
– The Miz and Kit Wilson’s plan to catch Danhausen failed and Danhausen walked away with $40,000 of The Miz’s money.
– WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Wepa Up (Damian Priest and R-Truth) (c) def. Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) to retain the titles
Talla Tonga attacked all 4 men after the match. It was recently reported that Talla missed last week’s SmackDown because he was injured, but he is back already.
– Solo Sikoa said Jacob Fatu is going to pay for attacking The MFTs last week. The Usos came out and told Solo to leave Jacob alone, because World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is going to handle Fatu at Backlash. Talla Tonga then attacked Jimmy and Jey Uso. Solo said Roman isn’t his Tribal Chief and they don’t care what he says.
– Sami Zayn told Cody Rhodes that they are the last real good guys in WWE. Cody said they are not the same.
– Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes def. Ricky Saints
After the match, Gunther attacked Cody and put him in the sleeper hold twice. The Ring General made his intentions clear and held up the WWE Championship.
– The Miz tricked Danhausen into forming Mizhausen, but ended up attacking him.
– Royce Keys def. Angel
– Backstage, Royce Keys was hyping up Jacob Fatu to defeat Roman Reigns, but they were attacked by Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga.
– Sami Zayn attacked The Gingerbread Man. Trick Williams attacked Sami and chased him off. Trick was too late as a Doctor in a backstage segment announced that The Gingerbread Man is no more. Trick then announced that he will face Sami at Backlash with the U.S. Title on the line. There will be a funeral for The Gingerbread Man on next week’s SmackDown.
– Tiffany Stratton announced that she will defend the Women’s United States Championship against Kiana James next week.
– WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Brie Bella and Paige (c) def. The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend) to retain the titles
– Danhausen asked Aldis for a match and Aldis booked Miz and Kit vs. Danhausen and a partner of his choosing at Backlash.
– The MFTs (Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga) def. The Usos via DQ after Jacob Fatu attacked Talla
Fatu put Solo in the Tongan Death Grip and put Talla through the announce table with a Samoan Drop. Fatu walked past Jimmy and Jey Uso and said he’s going to dogwalk Roman Reigns at Backlash.
