Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving SmackDown and NXT.
• LA Knight got incredibly over with the fans in 2023 and admitted he feared fading into obscurity after Randy Orton and CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023.
Speaking to Metro, Knight said he worried the perception would be that he was being pushed aside for bigger names.
“Randy comes back, CM Punk comes back. And I’m like, ‘Alright, well, now the perception is going to be, I got defeated, now these guys are here, so now I fade.’ And I think a lot of people had kind of taken that stance for a moment.”
Despite his confidence, Knight acknowledged he hasn’t always been certain of his place in WWE. Having spent years on the independent circuit, he remains cautious, knowing the wrestling business is unpredictable and opportunities can disappear at any moment.
